Volunteer Program & Destinations
Medical & Healthcare Programs
About The Program
Poverty is a major cause of ill health and a barrier to accessing health care when needed. This relationship is mostly financial: the poor cannot afford to purchase those things that are needed for good health, including sufficient quantities of quality food and health care. On the other hand, without proper access to the outside world and education, underprivileged people from communities are for most of them unaware of hygiene and how their body should function. That is what we want to change through our Medical & Healthcare program thanks to the volunteers willing to provide life important assistance to the needy. During your involvement in our healthcare program you will be helping our team members to look after all the children and people from the community who come to get treatment or simply attend awareness workshops. If you are not from a medical background, your role will be to carry out easy tasks like providing medicines, assisting the health professionals in their tasks and being involved in the organisation of health awareness workshops. For the more advanced volunteers with medical knowledge, more responsibilities will be assigned such as the diagnosis of problems & diseases, health check-ups, general health treatment or counselling in coordination with our professionals.
By joining our medical and healthcare program, you, alongside travelling in india for social work, you will be part of a dedicated team whose health initiatives spread a necessary hygiene awareness amongst the locals, contribute directly to their betterment through medical treatment and therefore have a crucial role in the life of every individual.
