Volunteer Program & Destinations
Volunteer for building & construction
About The Program
The building & construction program is one of Travel 4Change’s overall development and expansion initiatives allowing us to reach a maximum of underprivileged people and directly benefit them. Over the years, thanks to our sister-NGO Lakshyam, more and more centres have been constructed inside the communities in need. The role of these centres: being the second home of the children and women who come to learn, attend workshops and spend a major part of their day with their peers before going back to their families. Also, at home often the poor living conditions of the families and the lack of educational material or furniture prevents the children to do their homework and stay focused. Being close to the families of the community is an important aspect of the building of such facilities. As we intend to benefit and impact more people every year, our building & construction program, volunteer travel programs for adults, allows us to create new homes for the underprivileged. During their involvement the volunteers help to plan, build and think of all the necessary furniture and equipment that could be useful for the children inside the centre. It is not just about building any shelter but providing a facility that is life changing for the children and gives them the happiness they deserve. No prior knowledge is required, every helping hand creates a positive and sustainable impact for the set up of our centres.
By joining our building & construction program, you will be part of a dedicated team whose construction initiatives help impact new lives by providing the children of new communities a place to study, play, and develop themselves to have a place in society.
We have a tie up with Geeli Mitti, wherein their farm is in Pangot Village, Uttrakhand wherein the whole area is being made on the lines of sustainable and natural building.
Followed at the time of registration wherein the actual site construction is going on.
